Prop-shop remote training program?

Does anyone have any experience with a "remote" training program?

Ill save you the sob story but I was recently passed up on an offer to stay at my current banking gig, but was extended an offer to train as an equity prop trader.

The thing is though I fell like it was almost too easy to be accepted into this program, all i did was apply. I fully understand that if I fail, i am the only one who looses, the prop shop inst really taking much risk other than spending time training me.

I know this varies for everyone but does anyone have any experience with any form of a trading training program? how useful are they? what are the chances on average of being successful? Am i totally wasting my time with this?
