Pump Up Before Interview?
How do you guys get pumped up in the few minutes before an interview? It's tough to bring energy and enthusiasm into an interview after waiting nervously in a quiet room for 15+ minutes. Any techniques to help smile, be in a good mood?
How about listening to this:
Other suggestions?
think of them in their underwear
Just my 2c.
(I'm not a pedophile - original music video was removed from youtube)
a shot of vodka usually does the trick
walk in and start interviewing them. walk me through YOUR resume... who's nervous now?
Topsy-turvy that mothafucka!
lol I actually did do that at a recent interview. The guy asked "so what do you know about this group" and I'm like "well I know you do this and this, but I was going to actually ask you about it." So the interviewer was like "Oh, so you're interviewing me now? ok..." and went on telling me about his group for like 5 minutes haha.
As a side note, I have figured out that it helps if you have a picture of something that makes you laugh and look at it before an interview. This has been working for me: http://billpaxtonismydad.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/yo-dawg-the-ori…
Be confident. Be proud of what you have done thus far. The interviewer is a human and won't eat you up. Don't try too hard. Be yourself. Be calm.
Work out before your interview. It will make you relaxed.

The Official WSO pre-Superday Playlist (Originally Posted: 01/29/2011)
Alright monkeys, we've made it this far, we're in the middle of superday season.
If you're like me, you've been searching for a baller playlist of pump-up songs to blast in your reimbursable four-star hotel while you're ironing your shirts and slacks pre-interview. A playlist that gives you that swagga while you shave in the morning. A playlist that puts you in the "I'm about to kill it" mindset as you blast your headphones in line for coffee at Starbucks (or Blue Bottle if you're fortunate enough to be in SF) and blatantly stare at that hot hipster chick making the drinks.
Let's make it right meow: THE OFFICIAL WSO PRE-SUPERDAY PLAYLIST.
Everyone add 1-3 songs to the list, I'll start:
The White Stripes -
Jay-Z - "D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)" Martin Solveig ft. Dragonette -
black and yellow by wiz khalifa...also my two favorite types of women juicy - biggie smalls winner - jamie foxx / TI Can't Be Tamed - Miley Cyrus
Um...really?
black and yellow is awesome...the remix is better..minus T-pains part. Check these:

Brooklyn Zoo by Ol Dirty Bastard
and Rock Star - N.E.R.D.
Sky's the Limit - Lil' Wayne All the Above - Maino Handlebars - Flobots Lose Yourself - Eminem Put On - Young Jeezy Let it Rock - Kevin Rudolf Voodoo Child - Jimi Hendrix Dame el Poder - Molotov (for you hispanic monkeys)
Lot of narcissism in the lyrics of these. Oh, and the BEST SONG EVER FOR GETTING PUMPED IS:
PS - If you suck at your interview, I recommend Journey's Don't Stop Believing for afterwards, lol
What the fuck is wrong with you people. Fucking pussies.
Going through a Lamb of God phase.
Lamb of God: Walk with me in hell. Now you've got something to die for.
Metallica: The Unforgiven. That was just your life.

Fine, Pantera's A Mouth for War (for the metalheads).
Mo' Money, Mo' Problems - Biggie Can't Tell Me Nothing - Kanye Almost Famous - Eminem
touch the sky vs xx remix + two weeks of hip hop remix + 1:21 scene from The Family Man = WIN
can't be touched - roy jones jr. all you need.
Wolfgang Gartner - Illmerica
(Probably the sickest song in the world)
Tiesto - Escape me (Electro White Panda Remix) SICK!
Have you heard Wolfgang Gartner - Wolfgang's 5th Symphony?
Masterpiece.
Remember the Name - Fort Minor, I know I've said it before but this song makes me want to murder someone....
Judas fucking Priest, "Riding On the Wind," "Heading Out to the Highway," and "You've Got Another Thing Comin'." In that order. That is all.
If we are talking metal: Iron Maiden - The Trooper Slayer - South of Heaven Metallica - Four Horsemen (any Metallica album after Black was aweful).
Gotta throw In The Mood by Glen Miller out there. An oldie, but a goodie!
It doesn't get heavier than Pantera's "Slaughtered".

SB, MMB. Amazing list except for Disturbed and Poison. Thank you for including the highly underrated late 90's rap classic that is "The Block is Hot". Metallica>Megadeth (just playin) and I've always hated "Walk" but at least it's Pantera. I also love that new Kesha song...
Relax everyone... you've worked hard to prepare for this moment. I'm sure everything will come naturally.....

Kanye - Monster

SB for Alors on Danse... that's my shit... I go nuts when this goes on at the club and it is my alarm on my phone because when it goes off I'm only pissed that I have to wake up for about 3 seconds and then I'm just in the mood to take over the day...
Kanye West - Stronger Rick Ross - Usual Suspects Rick Ross - Everyday Im Hustling
Some of you guys have garbage radio taste in hip hop JUS SAYIN
Jay-Z -- City is Mine
Sway and Tech -- The Anthem
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XIoXLQUbvs
Joe Budden -- Dumb Out
dirt off your shoulders - jay-z
obviously
1) This Must Be the Place - Talking Heads (I was looking for the version played in "Wall Street" but had a tough time finding it.)
2) Poppa Was a Playa - Nas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-BQ14aJxLQ
3) I Wish - Skee-Lo
EDIT- A lot of people here have garbage taste in hip hop, and have been brainwashed by the media. For some underground hip hop masterpieces check out Binary Star. If I hear "Black and Yellow" one more time I'm gonna stick a gun in my mouth and blow my brains out, due to disgust with humanity.
Masters of the Universe - Binary Star http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8IzlbDTgNM
Sweet Disposition 2 Ibiza - Temper Trap vs Swedish House Mafia

[Fusion/ Flamenco/ Jazz- sick instrumental]
Eye of the Tiger- Survivor Don't Stop Believing- Journey
My first superday was my first on-site interview and first time-ever- in New York. I felt totally outgunned and outclassed wearing a light gray sharkskin suit and having a state school on my resume interviewing against a bunch of kids from MIT and Princeton. I felt like some amateur at a high-profile boxing match. But they hit us with technical question after technical question, and I managed to get one of the offers.
Why Ya Wanna Get Funkee Wit Me? - Del Tha Funkee Homosapien
most of these songs yall have listed would put me to sleep not pump me up comeee onnnn
I like that version as well but I like the Kanye verses in the remix
I might actually watch some of these youtube links if they were embedded.
Wherever I may roam by Metallica when I am driving to the airport every Monday morning.
The fact that anybody still listens to Disturbed is, well, disturbing. My contributions:
Fireman - Lil Wayne Til I Collapse - Eminem Got Money - Lil Wayne
All I do is win - DJ Khaled Go Getta - Young Jeezy I want this forever - Drake Empire state of mind - Jay-Z Right Above it - Lil Wayne
Bro Anthem - Pennywise
There is a good chance you haven't heard this one (unlike the majority of the songs already mentioned) so I highly suggest checking it out.
Never Scared - Bone Crusher feat. TI Forever - Drake Hypnotize - System of a Down
Scarface (Push It to the Limit) - Paul Engemann
"Take you to da movies" by bangs.
Oh yeah, Tear It Up by Yung Wun and Like a Pimp by David Banner
Naked Pictures of Your Mother- Electric Six
If only for the chorus that goes "I make lots of money, I make more money than you, I driver around in my Limo, thats what I was born to do"
I see a lot of Lil Wayne here but no one mentions Drop the World??
It's a pretty neej song but house/trance/dub music gets me in the mood to party, not concentrate....
Rap is aggressive and it's all about money. The concepts mesh well.
