They have a good reputation; PwC just got back into consulting, so they're growing. They're not quite on the level of Deloitte Consulting in terms of reputation yet, but they have been inching closer given their recent acquisitions and recent wins. That being said, I don't think a M/B/B recruiter would differentiate between someone who interned at Deloitte Consulting or PwC Consulting.

Another point: Most of the work PwC consulting does is process-driven consulting. Most of the strategy work they do will be in their healthcare arm, so you should target that.

In summary, I think it'd be a good fallback option for you to take this year; it should help you get M/B/B interviews in the year following. At the very least, you could have an offer from a large, growing consulting 'firm'.

Source: Family friend interned at PwC Consulting 2 years ago and they got interviews with McK, Bain, and Booz the following year. They went to a target, if it matters to you.
