pwc post-MBA starting salaries
Sorry if this has been answered before. I did a quick search and couldn't find any info on this year's starting salaries at PwC advisory post-MBA. At least a couple of people have reported $135K base + $35K sign on in the comments here: http://managementconsulted.com/consulting-jobs/2013-management-consulti…
Is that accurate? Seems a bit too high for PwC!!
135 + 35 seems to be in line with what Deloitte is offering so seems about right...i think it's only for their strategy and ops group tho...other advisory groups would pay much less i would assume
naw anything under the deloitte consulting umbrella (HC, S&O, Tech) all pays the same post MBA
yep that sounds right. PwC only pays that much in order to compete with the big 3 consulting firms, I don't believe the pay scale as you progress is as lucrative as MBB firms.
$135K + $35 is correct. $10K explodes if you don't sign by October 1st. Their end of year bonuses are generally lower than the rest of industry.
So they now pay the same as MBB? I was under the impression that they paid less. Thanks!
I would imagine the pay diverges over time. PWC, ACN, etc. will pay similar starting wages to get people in the door, but at partner level things tend to shake out differently.
what bonus %?
MBB is 25% to 30% performance bonus
I'm guessing PwC is closer to 10%?
up to 20% for high performers.
Deloitte and PwC are both paying 125-135K with 25K sign on bonus as far as i know. Not only MBAs but also for some masters students coming in as seniors.
I can confirm for PwC full-time MBA hire (from a top 10-15 ranked program) in the NYC office into a non-financial services management consulting role: 135k base, 35K early sign-on bumps down to 25K for late sign-on; up to 20% year-end bonus
MBAs enter at Sr Associate
Analyst-associate-sr associate-manager-director-managing director-partner
the MD role is sort of only for acquired firm leadership
I can confirm with Masters degree (non MBA) with about 4 years professional experience they will pay 125-135K plus 25K starting bonus - this is in NYC and in technology consulting.
Edit: Nevermind
PwC Dallas post MBA $135K plus 35K/25K signing bonus depending on when you sign the offer.
@Blueapple, you;re right in that the pay-band forthe SA is pretty wide. If you're an organic SA (meaning you made SA joining in as an undergrad, or experience hire with no MBA) then you're pay will be signficanlty lower than an MBA hire.
I know some first year SAs w/ MBAs making 135K as stated, and other 2nd Yr SAs in smaller towns making 80K, due to low CoL. So the range can be pretty drastic.
It seems MBA hires are not differentiated in terms of cost of living.
I would say this wide band isn't unique to PwC, any firm that hires undergrads at 65-70k will likely have this gap at the SA level... the MBA should be worth something, after all....
