Quantitative Equity Research
Hello,
I am new here. I have an interview for the Quantitative Equity Research position at big, non-BB sell-side company. This is an associate position. I am a math major. I have no background in finance or accounting. Although I know some of the financial ratios, I dont have any serious ER experience.
The position itself requires quantitative skills and technical experience with SAS(that's what I have rich experience with). I think they picked me for the interview because of my math background.
My questions are:
-
How should I get prepared for this interview?
-
What kink of questions I should expect? Will it be stock-pitch or ER questions? Or just more math questions?
-
Do you know what they do for Quantitative Equity Research Associate? What math techniques or methods are employed for ER?
PS: I don't have any contact within the firm so that I cannot get extra information. I come from an IVY school. Do you think they have school preferences?
Thank you. Any comments are welcomed.
