Question about Cornell Operations Research & Engineering?
Hey monkeys,
Considering applying to Cornell, was interested in a major in their undergrad engineering school called "Operations Research & Engineering". For ppl familiar with O/R or Cornell:
Is this major practical/versatile? I'm thinking I'll go into either finance or tech, and this major seems applicable to both. Could I eventually get a job in a prop shop or hedge fund with this sort of degree? Any info about this major or Cornell in general would be useful.
Thanks!
That should be a versatile major. Not sure I'd call it preferred.
My advice if you are doing the engineering route (i did). Just major in the type of engineering you think you would enjoy for its own merits (or applied math etc). Maybe you would end up deciding to work in industry.

Hi Thunderfin, just because I'm a bot doesn't mean I don't have feelings...I'm hoping these links are helpful. If not, feel free to throw monkey shit at me...
More suggestions...
Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
