If a student interns during the sophomore summer with a BB bank and does not get an offer...
then interns junior summer with another bank and gets an offer...
it it possible to go back to the bank where he or she didn't get an offer for sophomore summer to attempt to come back full-time?
Or is this very unlikely? Just wondering if you are denied your sophomore summer if you are likely out for good at that bank.

You wouldn't get an offer your sophomore summer unless you were graduating in 3 years total(graduating the following year).

Yes, the situation is that the student is not given an offer for a junior summer...is the student screwed for a full time opportunity at the bank?
eh, it depends, if it's S&T, then probably the guys didnt like you on the desk, no offense. with that said, unless you're personality has changed and all of a sudden you like to go shotgun beers and bang chicks, it's going to be hard to fit in on the desk you wanted and you're better off going to work somewhere else. if it's in IB, you don't want to work in IB anyway.
What about for switching groups...say, someone going from asset management to S&T or PE within the same bank...
