Question for first years who’ve made a move...

For those of you who quit and moved to another role, how did you go about networking / targeting new roles? Have you been satisfied with the move? Particularly interested in anyone who’s moved to a corp dev / startup role or if anyone’s made a move to a hedge fund or family office (regardless of size).

As many have said, first year analyst in the WFH environment has been a tough gig, but wanted to see if anyone’s been able to pivot successfully and in a targeted way and find something that’s making them happier overall. As much as this job is extremely unpleasant, still trying to figure out whether it’s worth jumping before the ~1.5 year mark (when I figure you’ve more or less maximized what you’re getting out of a two year stint) to one of the aforementioned roles. Don’t think I could stomach PE if it’s banking 2.0 at the UMM / MF firms
