Questions for REPE/Dev. HR + Associates Interviewers
Hi Monkeys,
What are some good questions to ask an HR person and Associate (not a VP) at a company within the REPE/Dev/REIB space? With interview season approaching, I want to make sure I'm prepared to ask thoughtful questions to these folks, and not some of the more basic ones such as "why do you like working here?" and "what's your day-to-day like?". Not saying that those are "bad" questions per se, I just want to go a little deeper. I also don't want to pick obviously detailed questions to make me sound like a hardo, just genuine questions that could help me stand out from other applicants.
Thanks in advance.
Asking about management style, career progression, what differentiates high performers, where they see the company in 5 years, basically if your in the position of having multiple offers what’s important to you and ask about that
What monkeydawg said and I usually ask about their background as well. Usually, if it's my first time meeting the person or we are early in the process. It tends to get them talking and I feel we connect more as well.
Thanks everyone, this was helpful!
If REPE/Dev, I'd ask how the state of the market has impacted their annual business plan/goals. Depending on the size of the firm, the current cap rate compression could have negatively impacted acquisition goals.
