RAINBOW ROOM in Midtown...Exclusive?

Hello everyone... I was wondering if any of you are members of the rainbow room in Midtown or know much about it. (been to their website and wiki, but I hear they have some sort of members program)

If yes, do you mind sharing some of your experiences?
Is it a really a big deal, and a place where all the hot shot MDs go to?

Thank you very much for your input.

this reminds me of that one "i-banker in NY" video, where the dude was partying with "models and bottles," "rolling" with his "top down" and "arm candy" by his side. he was talking about how exclusive the club he was at was. the best part were the countless comments underneath the video on youtube, saying how much that place sucked

Rainbow Room has phenomenal, panoramic views of Manhattan and a high-speed private elevator (62nd floor?). The crowd was ~40-60 when I went. Very nice place to take clients for a discrete chat or for a celebration -- but I don't think this place merits tons of effort in terms of looking for a "membership" (not sure if that even exists here).

This is definitely NOT the kind of place a 22-28 year-old is going to go to hang out or meet new people.

I don't think hotshot MDs live in Scarsdale. Maybe the $10mil mansions along Heathcote Road, but I mostly understood Scarsdale as a mostly lawyer and doctor kind of town. I lived there before, I'd know. Same with Bedford, to an extent. But hotshot MDs are definitely a minority. No-name MDs, maybe. I'd think that a hotshot MD would go out and buy a private island in Greenwich or a townhouse in the Upper West Side or buy some absurdly huge condo in Battery Park City.
