Career Resources
in before raine maker pun
Do you want to be a banker for life or jump to PE/VC/HF? Also do you want to do media? Their reputation is that you want to stay on to MD.
I would take Raine - I interviewed there and was extremely impressed. They are probably the only bank I would want to work for as a career. Really interesting blend of merchant banking and advisory in a cool industry.
Edit: yeah, go with the BB if you are concerned with exit opportunities.
Thanks for the info. Given their reputation, does senior management discourage leaving to PE? If that's so, I'm leaning towards BB given that I'd like to jump to PE or growth equity.
I don't know if they discourage it, but they tend to hire people who want to be there for the long haul. If you are thinking of exits going in, you might want the BB. The recruiting pipeline in baked into the BB model, and some MDs will even help with recruiting.
