I graduate high school this year and I was thinking of pursuing an Economics major and a double minor in Psychology and Environmental Science/Agriculture in college.

The reasoning behind it is that both the minors are interesting to me (at least right now) and are relatively easy to complete. I understand that college is college and nothing is really easy but I feel that my double minor combo is like a hard minor.

Also, I think they are somewhat relevant to finance, since trading is a lot of psychology and I want to work in Agro PE/VC long-term.

I don't know though, what do you guys think as someone currently in the industry?

I am not in the industry, but rather incoming -Honestly if you find it interesting I would go for it, but don't go in with the mindset that a psychology minor will teach you much you'll be able to use on the job or even in finance classes. I think a lot of new college students (including myself) come in thinking that everything is somehow linked to psychology, but in practice you won't make so many links since the methods/theory in finance/economics do not need psychology to exist.

The environmental study minor can help you tell a relevant story for getting into agro PE or ESG funds. Could make you stand out by having a good reason as to why this industry specifically.
