Rates vs Credit

I’m currently choosing between rates vs credit trading for my SA and I was wondering if you guys would be willing to shed some light between the pros and cons of these products.

I understand they are vastly different products/skill sets but from a objective standpoint which is generally better in terms of comp, exits, resistance to layoffs from automation and increasing regulations?
