If you're unsure of whether you want to be in banking long-term and not sure what you want to pursue post, then CS, no need to think further. The CS brand name is way more well known and will get you better opportunities more easily after being an analyst.
Thanks so much for your insights! Since I am not sure whether technology will be the right choice for me, I am wondering whether it would be easier to internal transfer from SF to NYC or lateral from RBC NYC to BB NYC. Thanks!
Which group in RBC did you get? No one will expect you to pursue a tech career btw if you join a tech banking group. If you're unsure of what you want in general going forward, I'd say go with CS given it's brand recognition both within and more importantly outside of finance circles.
