RE Capital Mkts Analyst Pay
What is capital markets analyst total comp like at a fund like Brookfield, Blackstone, etc.? Saw some postings and was curious. Also, if you wanted to go into the investment side afterwards, mainly on the equity (debt too), how possible is it? From my understanding, capital markets people work on securing the financing for assets with brokers, lenders, etc.

At my shop our capital markets team is responsible for sourcing financing with banks, but their largest jobs is actually sourcing leverage for our debt side of the business. They are constantly working with banks and debt funds to provide leverage to our existing loans. I would assume this is the same at BX, Brookfield, and the likes. Pay is in line with the rest of the deal team.
Right, so leveraging the equity and debt investments whether you talk to a bank or a lender or a debt placement agent right? Didn't know pay was like that. Also, have people transitioned within your team internally from capital markets to investments? Thanks!
