Reaching out to alumni within your company who are higher-ups

Just learned that there are several people from my college and high school who work in the same firm.

What's the best way to network with them? For now, I'm really just interested in building my network and not interested in using it to advance my career or anything (at least not yet).

Some of them are higher-ups so thought I should be strategic.

Make it easy / quick / informal

John,

Just saw you work here too. Let me know if you ever need anything. Go (mascot)!
