Ready to RAGE against Analyst in office!

I am interning for a boutique ibank and one of the analyst has for no god damn reason formed a grudge against me. Maybe it's because I didn't buy him dinner or lunch! Who the fck cares. This analyst is such a douche, I am about ready to set his as on fire! Unfortunatley I need to suck it up.

Any similar experiences?

MonkeyToBe88:
Buy him lunch or dinner. Ask him for advice - by doing this you stroke his ego by acknowledging that he is in a higher position than you and that you look up to him and would like his input.

Fuck that shit.

You think he's a douchebag, and he probably thinks you're a tool. The problem is, there's probably not that many analysts in this boutique your work for so if he starts talking shit about you, there could be a problem.

Just try to get on his good graces, get an offer, leverage that to get a FT BB offer, and then tell him to go suck a donkey's penis.

By the way, I'm facing a similar (yet opposite) situation where the SA is a huge tool. Any thoughts on how to drill into his head that he's not God's gift to banking?

If deal flow permits, dropping a couple all-nighters on him would do the trick..

Pathus21:
By the way if the guy already doesn't like you you probably are a fuckin toolbag. Objectively step back and try to figure out why you are a tool.

I honestly can't find a reason why the dude doesn't like me. I haven't done anything offensive and I am definitely not a toolbag....

buying him lunch, dinner, coffee, drinks.. It's too late for that.

You need to go the distance to get him to like you. Here's what you do.

When you two are working late one night, ask him if he's horny. He'll probably look at you sideways and laugh it off.

Walk over to his cube, pull your pants down and bend over his desk.

Everything will be fine after that. Full time offer in the bag.

The world has changed. And we must change with it.

------------ I'm making it up as I go along.

your work must suck. If anything go out for drinks or have lunch with him to break the tension and get more personal.

You are a tool to assume something like that. This guy actually formed this grudge WAY before I actually did any work for him..everyone else is pleased by my work.

Best to be informed about why he has a grudge from other people. He should know someone that you know so try to pump someone else to get information on why he doesn't like you.

Also if you don't have that means than just suck up and eat the shit with a huge smile. I find it really helps if you imagine yourself punching him in the face when he's talking, a nice strong jab to the face, helps to break a smile on your face. Maybe a bat to the face too. Helps to relieve tension.

indian-banker:
The best way to get on his good side is to take him out for drinks and help him hook up with a really hot girl. Not only will he take a liking for you, but he might even present a strong case on your behalf when it comes to FT recruiting provided your work is good of course.

You are such a tumbling dick-weed, why do you make it so easy to hate you?
