I am a production analyst. A production analyst typically supports exclusively originators. Though in some small shops, your work can also bleed into underwriting. A business analyst does not typically exist in RE, its a corporate finance role. But any "xxx: analyst role" is essentially supporting originators, underwriters, acquisitions and asset management folks, brokers, etc.

Going off what Brody92 said, a lot of firms have different names for the same roles. Production Analyst is used at CBRE, whereas Debt Analyst is used at HFF. The job description for both are pretty much the same.

I work as a production analyst at a large brokerage firm. I don't know what a typical business analyst in real estate would do, but I can shed some light on what it is we do for the origination teams.
Most always, originators or other MD's in markets will engage our MD's looking for specific expertise on agency debt. Once they send OM and financials over, we spread them into our debt workbook and figure out whether the loan proceeds the originators want are achievable. As an analyst, this is the primary function of my job. We will submit the loan request, get it priced with current treasuries and spreads, and provide indications to the origination teams who then pass it on to the sponsors. Next we formulate an app and once that has been signed we send it off to UW.

Think of a production team as kind of the middle man between producers and UW. The majority of our time is spent figuring out which NOI is the most supportable, so I am constantly looking at concessions, bad debt and other historical operating statements, and modeling out what we can to support an NOI.
