Real Estate Resume
All -
Im looking for some examples of resumes for real estate analysts. Not sure what deals to include and duties/responsibilities. I work for a developer as an analyst and like everyone else would eventually like to get into REPE. Any examples would be much appreciated.
Thanks
What type of work have you been doing at the development shop? Due diligence? Underwriting? Project management?
Include underwriting / due diligence experience. The larger the projects the better.
Which type of projects have you worked on? commercial, mixed-use, residential, hotel.
Mainly focus on underwriting for acquisitions and development projects. Also due diligence for financing activities. Most recent deal is the underwriting for a 60 unit apartment building, $22m construction loan, should close by the end of the month. There have been other projects I've worked on but those are in early stages or smaller projects. Also, have participated in the underwriting and due diligence of about 5 acquisitions for $50+m and $200m in financing. Just not sure how to word or how much detail to provide in all this.
Thanks again all
Okay cool, so you have some decent experience. Write something like, "Underwrote and performed due diligence for 5 acquisitions, totaling $(Insert total asset value here) million of (insert asset types here) property.
if you actually did the work you say you did, writing it shouldnt be an issue
I'm just looking for how much detail to go into and what would standout most. Not trying to embellish anything.
Google it

Great find, REValuation. I spent a few minutes looking through these resumes. Man, it just goes to show you that analysts in finance/real estate are a dime a dozen. My resume and dozens of other people I know are just as good as these.
Without realizing it, I found myself "discriminating" based on the prestige/recognition of the firm vs. the actual work experience. The name brands stood out to me the most, not the positions so much, and especially not the descriptions.
Ya that and deal flow in millions vs. billions is a dramatic difference
