Real Estate Syndication BB, Exit Opportunities?

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out because I secured a SA position at a BB in the fall, and was placed in a Real Estate Syndicate group, which is within my firm's IBD. I was wondering to what extent individuals working in this come across CRE PE opportunities? I understand that the role is typically much more capital markets focused, but I've been told that the products I'll be dealing with are high yield, which is why I'm curious to what extent I could eventually find myself at a CRE PE fund. I wouldn't have been able to land a job in IB without this site, so thank you so much to everyone contributing on here.

Thanks!

EDIT: I moved this to the Real Estate Forum

You interviewed for IB and they placed you in RE Syndications? That’s a crime. I think you would have to lateral to the REIB group or CMBS group at your bank before exiting to REPE

From what I know about RE syndications there are not any exit ops to REPE
