real social dynamics for job hunters?

Hey all,
Has anyone tried applying real social dynamic / PUA to finance - either in job hunting or in the office?

I'm not talking about picking up girls - but to a certain extent the RSD practitioners have identified certain social dynamics and behaviors that enable one to exude confidence, to converse more casually, and basically to seize opportunities and close.

And a lot of finance is just that. Getting someone interested in you (cold call email or phone call), convincing, dialogging, closing - especially in job interviews.

Has anyone mapped out the parallels?
Has anyone seen real psychology applied to finance and the job hunt?
