Reapplying after leave of absence
I applied to the IB summer analyst position before at multiple banks, got rejected, then I took a leave of absence from college for legit reasons. I'm looking to apply again for the same position at the same firms this year - would that raise a red flag? Would it be a good idea to create a new email and say I've never applied before? Will HR find out somehow? I have a quite generic name (think John Smith) so it would be possible that there are other applicants with the same name, but if they see my resume it'll become quite obvious. I don't know what I should do - reapply, mentioning that I've applied before and risk getting dinged straight away, or apply with a different email address and risk getting offer rescinded?
have the same question here too
Exactly same situation before. See no problem at all. No one ever asked why I got rejected before. Got the offer eventually.
In your application, was there a question asking you whether you've applied before?
No tho. I'm with a BB but there was no such question in application. I recall some boutiques like Lazard and Moelis might have similar questions.
