Received Offer.....

I recently accepted a summer internship position at a small MM investment bank. No 'welcome' materials will be sent, like most BBs do (from what I know). Just received an email about starting date, a few things to be prepared for in the first week, and their dress code.

Would you generally want to just wait and show up on the start date, or email and stay in contact with the group during the next few weeks? Any questions that should be asked beforehand?

I apologize if this is a topic that has been discussed plenty of times. If it is, I will delete. Thanks for any advice.

IMO.... they know you have accepted and that you are coming, if you don't contact them it will be fine, they wont rescind your offer because you didn't keep in touch... it will matter more about what happens during the summer than before...

however, since its a smaller group and company than a BB, you could send them an email asking if there anything you should brush up on, anything you should know about the area (if its outside of a place you have lived), or more about work environment...etc.

Don't sweat it too much, you'll be fine :)

Just don't ask them a question they've already answered if you choose to ask about what to brush up on, etc. That would be a big mistake.
