Recent Grad Advice
Hey all,
I am a 2015 graduate from a target Ivy. I also played a sport and rather than pursue banking immediately after graduating I played my sport professionally this summer. I suffered an injury and decided its time to take on the real world and am hoping I could get some advice on being hired off-cycle.
I have all the accolades both academically and athletically that the big banks look for as well as one internship with a private equity firm. That being said how realistic is it to hope to be hired by a big bank? Am I correct that most of the firms have just finished training their incoming class of 2015 graduates?
Thanks for the help!
My understanding is that most banks have started their training in late July and would have probably finished it. I would say the next window would probably be towards the end of the year or start of next year when people quit/leave the firm.
I'm in a similar situation too. So targeting a January intake would be realistic right?
