Recommendation for self-study plan
Hi everyone,
I am a final student who's decided to switch my career to IB last February. My major is not related to finance
I would like to ask for your recommendations on some self-study books/online courses to improve my technical skills
What I have finished:
1. Financial Modeling and Valuation: A Practical Guide to Investment Banking and Private Equity by Pignataro
2. Essentials of Accounting by Leslie K. Breitner and Robert N.Anthony
On-going:
1. Valuation: Measuring and Managing the Value of Companies by McKinsey
2. A CFA course
Any suggests?
I plan to read Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Other Restructuring by Pignataro but wonder if it's good
Rosenbaum book is the Chad book above all else, it’s literally all you need friend.
Thank you so much!
The Rosenbaum and Pearl book will be over your head if you don’t have a basic understanding of accounting first. I would read the accounting book first, then RB & Pearl. After that if you want to dive into Pignataro’s series of books you can but those are more in depth and walk you through the modeling/valuation done on a deal.
Thank you
