Recruiter reached out and then ghosted

Hi,

Has anybody had the experience of being contacted by companies' recruiters and then being ghosted? 

It happened to me many times the past two months, I'm just wondering if there's something I could do about it? These companies are all big names on the street. I'm talking about internal HR, not headhunters.  Sometimes after a recruiter reached out to me via email or linkedin, I replied immediately to schedule a time to call. And then never heard back from them again. Sometimes the time of the call is confirmed but no one called. I then emailed back to reschedule and again was ghosted. 

Is this something that happens to everyone? I really appreciate any advise. Thanks!
