Recruiting already over?
I reached out to 2 people today, one of which proceeded to give me a lecture on how I didn't reach out in time for recruiting and that they're all done. (She's from regional office) is that true...the BB's are already starting to wrap up recruiting?
Jesus. I missed that bandwagon.
i know that many banks have interviews throughout february, so they are definitely not completely done, though many are beginning to wrap up first rounds i would believe
definitely true for Houston.
It's getting pretty close for SA recruiting. Most superdays are in the next couple of weeks, which usually means they have already stopped accepting resumes. A lot of regional offices have already extended all of their SA offers, and some nyc offices have, as well.
If you're coming from a non-target, you have to start reaching out over the summer.
I don't think it would hurt to start over the summer, but you can start later than that and still be successful. Many of the contacts I made actually told me to get back in touch with them in December when recruiting was about to start so that they could get my resume in front of the right person. Not to say that starting in the summer is bad, just maybe a little too early. The you have to maintain contact over the next 6 months without annoying them but also not being forgotten.
