RE/IB Advice
I am a recent (0-2 years out) law school graduate with non-transferable skills and no business experience. I have stellar undergrad/respectable enough legal credentials. Due to family reasons I moved to the West Coast/Rockies in a large metro with little to no network. I am looking for a position in real estate development or finance. I refuse to practice law. My questions are:
-
Is this even feasible given the economy/lockdowns? If so, what timeline are we looking at for CRE or residential RE to hire again?
-
Aside from networking when everyone is scared of getting sick, what can I be doing to educate myself/move the ball forward?
-
Any miscellaneous advice is appreciated.
There are a plethora of analyst/associate jobs out there now in a variety of markets with a variety of CRE firms.
Also, visit the HOF forum for RE on WSO. There you will find forums on a variety of topics that will point you towards resources to learn and keep your finger on the pulse of the market.
Also, you were quite broad in your post. Do you have any idea which asset class(es) interest you?
