Anyone out there works in Alt Energy (on actual projects 10MW+)?
I am trying to get an idea of the returns you guys are seeing on the Solar PV (even the thermals) deals, I have seen some trash coming across my desk and i am being to think this is the new dot.com. NCF's are trash and $/Kw are way too high. Even "distressed" sales are garbage; i recently had one where they would need to pay US for it to make any sense.
I am now looking to bundle different technologies in deal/pitch packages to make the economics look more realistic.
I recently saw where Starwood energy dropped plans to build 280MW solar thermal (with storage), anyone knows the true reason (not the media crap)?
I know that PE doesn't qual for the grant b/c of non tax funds issue.
