Rent for First Year IB Analyst - 2016
Hello!
I've seen some posts about this, but they all appear to be outdated. I'm a first year analyst in investment banking in NYC, and just got an apartment for $1850/month in rent. It's a tiny studio in a co-op on the upper east side (I'm one of those weird people that likes a commute to work). I have the standard $85k base. Is this a good amount to be spending on rent? NYC expenses are awful. At least the city means you don't have to have a car (and car payment).
Thanks!
