RE Private Equity Excel Test

I have been interviewing with a REPE firm and they have asked me back for a final round excel test. Was just wondering if anyone had any idea what I should expect? How I should prepare? Maybe a practice modeling test?

The position is for a lightly experienced professional and its on a firms acquisitions team. Would really appreciate any and all help you maybe able to offer.

I joined a REPE firm last year and was asked do something similar. Effectively I was required to build an underwriting model from scratch based on a few assumptions and provide an analysis. It was pretty straight forward but I would be prepared to need to know the basic fundamentals of what goes into an underwriting model. Mine was specific to a multifamily asset, so understanding of NOI, cap rates, levered and unlevered cash flows, IRRs, etc. was required

Does anyone have a basic waterfall model that could be completed in sub-15 minutes? I'm really looking for an effective yet simplified model.

Robert Clayton Dean: What is happening? Brill: I blew up the building. Robert Clayton Dean: Why? Brill: Because you made a phone call.
