Research Internship Advice

I received a general Research offer a few weeks ago (will figure out if it is for equity or credit when the internship begins along with the sector...), but I was wondering of some of the responsibilities of interns in Research. I've heard a lot of an intern's performance is based on his or her final project, but I was wondering what kind of work the team assigns. Also, what kind of modeling/excel experience is expected? I feel like it won't be as much as IB but still want to make sure I am up to date. Basically, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats for the offer! I did an internship in ER last year as a sophomore. I am lucky since my analyst was initiating a new sector and I ended up developing many of the models which is still used up until now. My typical day to day responsibilities includes finding news for the morning meeting, updating historical models, finding data (which includes digging online database and calling up people).

Feel free to PM me if you want to talk!
