restructuring group

  1. does anyone know of a textbook type material that gives a basic outline of restructuring banking (or anything that would be helpful)?

  2. what might one expect for a 3rd year analyst interview in restructuring group?

Also, for interview questions - I only did SA in restructuring, still shopping FT, but I'm guessing you can expect the following (assuming your first 2 years were not in restructuring):

  1. Capital structure: seniority, security, etc.
  2. Why do companies need/look to restructure?
  3. Difference between in and out-of-court restructuring (i.e. Ch. 11 --> 363 sales, distribution waterfall vs. exchange offers, refinancing, etc)
  4. Maybe a specific bankruptcy case?

If you have already done 2-yr analyst in restructuring I assume you'll talk about deals you worked on and questions will be more rigorous.
