Resume Question - Working on finishing up my resume

I'm working on finish up my resume to have it ready for when the banks come to campus after the first of the year to start looking for people for internship positions. I've never had a finance related job or internship. My only job has been a basic summer job, just to help me pay for some of the costs of college. Should I put this job on my resume?

Put down everything, especially if you are lacking in solid work experience.

I personally don't have an issue with seeing food service or retail experience. I've been there, and there is no shame in saying you've worked at menial jobs. It's college. You're not expected to have worked at Bain Capital and KKR in high school.

Thanks for the input, this is something that I thought I should mention but was not completely sure. Another question if you do not mind answering, is volunteer work the same? I spend a day a week at an inner city middle school tutoring algebra, is this another item I should mention? Thank you.

If you are short on work experience make sure you emphasize your education, activities, and volunteering. Any clubs, sports, volunteering/community service. You want to fill that one page with as many attactive things as possible.
