Retake GMAT - Final score
Got a 710 recently....80+ percentile for both quant/verbal. 6/6 AWA too lol...as if that matters even.
Should I retake? I realize that your application is so much more than your gmat score so I'm willing to let this score be my final score. However, I also feel like I may have 20-30 more points in me. Thanks.
If you feel like you've got the ability to walk in and bang out a 740 or better, then why not retake it and put any questions to rest. If, however, you feel like you can get a 740+ by studying a lot more, and so forth, then your time is better spent elsewhere - work, ECs, working on your apps, etc.
In all honesty, once you break the 700, especially the 710 mark, you are in good shape and don't really need a higher score - your time can be better spent elsewhere.

if you dedicate a lot more time, and somehow figure out a guaranteed way of getting a higher score, then go for it.
I always tell this to people that score in your range: did you send schools to your top 5 schools the first time around? If so, retake it, but don't choose to send scores this time. They will already have your score report with your 710 and won't know you took it again. The only thing you have to lose is $250 (and time you'd much rather spend elsewhere), and you won't look back wondering if you could have scored higher.
