Returning Internship at CRE Brokerage vs. Acquisitions at Development Firm

I know there are lots of threads on here about REIB vs IS Analyst roles and getting into REPE. I was curious as to peoples thoughts on development acquisitions versus IS analyst.

A little background: I interned last summer at a large CRE brokerage, mainly focused on Industrial properties. I had a great time and found it really interesting. I have a return offer there for next summer. I also have an offer to be a SA in acquisitions at a mid-sized West Coast development company.

Ultimately I'd like to transition into REPE.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Acquisitions is the pinnacle of the industry. It is essential for all aspects. Unless you know you want to be a commercial broker, take the acquisitions offer. Don't burn bridges but it is far better experience for REPE.

Haha for our own sake let’s make this as “resolved” lest certain trolls smell this chum from their dorms.
