Rice University’s NEW undergraduate business major

Haven’t seen a post about this yet and am wondering what your guys thoughts are? Their new undergrad business program has two concentrations finance { :) } and management. Definitely helps there prestige in my opinion, majoring in econ isnt as applicable to employers anymore. Does this new program put it above peer schools like Vanderbilt econ and Duke econ?

I don’t think they give a shit what your major in, if you do clubs, can model and have decent grades

Don’t see why this would impact prestige

Funniest

Lmao dude nice casual “peer comparison” with Duke and Vandy

As someone who grew up in the north and went to an Ivy in the north, I feel like Rice’s overall prestige is right there overall with Duke/Vandy/GU/JHU/ND/WashU/NU. I’ve only ever spent 3 days and some DFW airport layovers in Texas, but overall, not just in finance, I think Rice’s prestige is at the same overall level.
