Rising Junior IB/ER Resume Advise
Hello WSO Community,
I'm a rising junior at a non-target school aiming to obtain a summer analyst or equity research internship for the summer of 2016. I would appreciate some solid reviews/critiques of my resume.
Below you will find my reasoning/thought process behind specific sections of my resume:
Format/Font/Size: IB template, all Times New Roman, subtitles font 12, subtitles body font 11.
GPA: Rounded from 3.57. Is this fine?
Coursework: My 5 most relevant courses. Course names are changed a bit to fit in one line.
Professional Experience Titles: Both were admin. positions. I am trying to keep them broad to help me spin the position and not be label BO right off the bat.
Professional Experience Bullet Points: All my bullet points are truthful and I am polished enough to talk well about my experience during both internships. I am looking forward to strong reviews/critiques on my wording/sentence structure in these sections. If you don’t think these bullets are directly transferable to IB/ER internships please LMK and give me some recommendations on what to add/remove.
Leadership Experience: These are my two best and most transferable positions on campus. I hope to demonstrate my ability to balance school, jobs, and involvement.

I understand they are looking for more work experience but as of now this has to stay because as of this moment I don’t have anything better.
Interests: I understand some IB professionals would advise me to not even have this section but I have done my research and concluded that it does me more benefit then harm. If you noticed I am not your typical IB hunting undergraduate. I am strongly attached to my culture/roots and I try to show that in my resume. Thoughts?
Going forward, what should I do to improve my chances and be competitive against Ivy League students?
