Rounding GPA (3.79 -> 3.8?) for apps

How much GPA rounding is acceptable in job applications?

My GPA is 3.79. On Citi's application, you have to pick which category your GPA is in; should I pick the one that says 3.8-3.9/4.0 or the one that says 3.5+/4.0?

I would do 3.5+/4.0. Grades are marginal past a threshold. You will be bracketed with the other kids who are in that range in a tier below 3.8/3.9. However, you will be at the upper bound of 3.5+ being the most competitive in that bracket. If your app makes up for it in other regards, be more conservative. Under promise and over deliver.

Maybe I'm out of my element here, but I've never seen HR/hiring managers bracket candidates by GPA to the point they'll forgo hiring the 3.8 in favor of the 3.7 who has the same experience and background by merit of the latter being at the top of the next bracket down...
