Rudy 2012???

NFL kicks off in a few weeks, but until then lets talk about America's second favorite sport. Election season politics (which never ends in case you were wondering)

Results from a new CNN poll have Rudy Giuliani ahead of Obama in a head to head race. This is significant because he is the only GOP candidate to poll better then our fearless leader.(Romney is in a statistical tie)

Rudy has not yet formally declared he is running, but i really hope he does. While i am not from NYC i was always very impressed with what he was able to accomplish there and the poise he showed after the attacks on 9/11. Most importantly I want a candidate who can take down Obama. While i love Ron Paul and wish he could win he simply cannot and politics is a zero sum game if there ever was one.

His issue of course is that the GOP primary is loaded with voters who pick candidates based on "traditional American social values". This crowd hates Rudy and would rather nominate Bachman and lose to Obama by 20 points. However if he gets out of the primary i think he will be a strong competitor and a great president should he win.

So WSO what do you guys think. Does Rudy deserve the White House and if so does he have a chance to get elected there.

I think Rudy would make a great president, but I don't understand why you like that much more than Obama. I mean I'm not big fan of Obama by any means, but Rudy and Obama have similar political views. I don't care what you've heard about Obama spewing "Social Justice" crap, the positions he has taken show that he is much more moderate than what he advertised in his 2008 campaign, which in my opinion is a great thing. All I want is a president that can break the Tea Party's hold on the GOP.

If Bill Clinton were still President, he wouldn't have taken this crap.
