School choice problem
Hey guys.
I'm a mature BA archaeology student who currently studying at University College London.
(And two years of experience as a civil servant in my country before I came to UCL)
I will graduate in this summer (hopefully 2:1) And I had two internship experiences at Boston Consulting Group and Google.
But I couldn't get a job offer from top consulting firms (rejected after case-interview) and Google as well.
As a safety option, I applied few graduate schools and holding some offers.
Oxford - MSt Oriental Studies // King's - MA Political Economy // LSE - 2 yrs Economics master
And I'm currently consider which uni and course should I pick.
Honestly, I am attracting the name value of Oxford University but the degree seems useless if I want to get a job in IB/Consulting or even tech company like google.
King's gave me an offer even if I'm an archaeology student (they may take account the civil servant experience).
LSE also would be a good choice, but as an international and mature student, 2yrs of tuition fees and time (approximately £50000) are too hard to bear it. So, i exclude this option.
Which uni should I choose for the future career at top firms?
Please give me some advices.
Oxford > Kings, the name will open more doors for you
If you want to get into IB, you should def consider LSE, despite the tuition. It's an investment man.
