SCORCHED EARTH! Forbes points death ray at MS, GS

Nothing like piling on! In the scramble to be the first to write the next Wall Street obituary, Forbes fires the opening salvo at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.

Funny. Last year I remember asking banks (pure-plays) how they'll remain competitive with the universal model and while people remarked that it was a good question, I could sense that I was being scoffed at. Bankers have always thought themselves far superior to the commercial guys. Now look at what's happening... Absolutely crazy. If someone told me this a year ago I would've laughed in their face. Who knew that last August would set in motion a sequence of earth-shattering, history-making events?

I would honestly be surprised if I didn't see something similarly shocking occur within the next few weeks.
