I think it shows that people prefer a government that works with both sides. Democrats didn't win any fans trying to bully things through congress. Regardless who is in power, the country is pretty much evenly split down the lines. Failing to listen to the other half is never a good idea. Hopefully with the super majority gone Democrats will be forces to negotiate and work with the Republicans rather than just ignore them.

Thanks God!!!!!!

This will stop or at least rip the balls of the healthcare bill. Hopefully some Dems can see that ramrodding legislation that a vocal super-minority wants through Congress will lead to less-than-adequate results for them. Even more so, I think this is showing that America wants Congress to stop its inane spending and get to REAL legislation that gets REAL results. I mean...has liberal legislation ever helped us save money? Has it ever helped us gain jobs? Hell, has it ever done anything it is supposed to? No. No. No. Hopefully the Great Chairman Obama will figure out that America doesn't want this garbage that he is trying to foist upon us. No chance at a Republican controlled Congress....keep doing what you're doing Obambi....help us Republicans out...hell if the Republicans resurge you'll be helping out Republicans, Independents, Conservative Democrats, people who love America, people who like living outside of the Weimar Republic...too many to count

Reality hits you hard, bro...

I don't get it...It seems those embittered Jesusland idiots in that flyover state of Massachusetts are clinging to their guns and religion, just like their crazed homophobic racist teabagger contemporaries in NJ and VA did...I blame Bush!

My honest opinion is that the majority of educated Americans hate both parties pretty much equally, but whichever party is in control when people are pissed off at the world will suffer, as the democrats are now.

It also didnt help that Coakley was a horrible candidate, or that Obama made the huge mistake of going up to Mass. for her.

Hopefully, they can work something material out to get healthcare on a better tact than it is now, but with mid-terms coming up I'm afraid dems will be more concerned with getting re-elected than in making any real progress.
