FOOD!! LOBBY!! NOW!!

Nov 20, 2019

If you have the time to go pick up something nearby I would suggest that over seamless. It gives you a slight break and you save on delivery costs so you can get more food. If you need to stick to seamless/Grubhub, they usually run promos and always have coupons for $X off your order, my inbox is flooded with them

Side note-- I'm a big proponent of intermittent fasting, would recommend it to people that get their dinners comped. It's brutal for the first three days since you're used to eating more but your body quickly adjusts. Skip breakfast and lunch and eat as much as you want at 6:30-7:00. Your body will be burning fat for most of the day since you don't have any food in your stomach. You'll save tons of money throughout the year and feel great.
I usually pick up a salad from a local place and load it with whatever I feel like eating that night.

There was a Seamless deli that had a lot of non-perishable groceries on the Seamless menu. Razor blades, soap, all that kind of stuff. There was also McDonald's downstairs which I happen to be a big fan of. So I'd order razor blades and things like that and then go get McD's for dinner. I will be 50 before I run out of blades. Wish I could remember the name but if you check out all the deli's there's bound to be a few that can offer you this kind of trade.

Also, I think this has been written about in the news a bit, but Liberty Deli on 3rd Avenue used to (and perhaps still does) have a system where you order beer that's listed as coke (but priced like beer) and you call them and tell them what beer you want. So back in '12 when I started we would occasionally pool our codes and order some cases from there. That opportunity probably still exists but I think at least some individual banks have cracked down

Double the meat - whether at Chipotle or ordering an expensive salad. Don't order drinks (empty calories and waste of money compared to company vending machines).
