Second Concentration/Minor
Hey everyone I'm looking for some help regarding choosing a second concentration or minor. I want to do some kind of IB, preferably M&A. I am also considering consulting. I just finished up my sophomore year at Boston College, I'm in the school of management there. I've got a 3.5 (huge upwards trend) and I've taken over half my business core, all my regular core, and knocked out the accounting and econ classes. So from here until graduation can focus on my finance concentration classes and a second concentration or minor.
I initially planned on a math minor but so far I've gotten a B in Linear and a B+ in Calc 2 so while its not killing me, I think the minor could end up costing me a .1 or so on my cumulative GPA. What's more, I don't enjoy math nearly as much as I thought I would because a) I hate proofs, and b) I've been frustrated taking classes with all math kids and thinking I did well on a test only to find that I generally barely beat the curve and thus am only getting B's. Therefore, I'm considering dropping the math minor and picking up either another concentration (in Operations, Accounting, or Econ) or a different minor, maybe something easy in liberal arts that I'd enjoy and get relatively easy A's. I've done about the same in Econ/Accounting/Operations thus far (A- averages in all of them) and they all require the same amount of classes. So what do you think, whats best for IB?
Finance major, accounting minor ;)
