Second follow up/reiterate my interest?

I had an ER superday last Monday. I thought the interview went very well. Part of the interview was a discussion on a writing sample/case study I submitted before the superday. All three senior folks commented on how polished my work and research approach was. The VP of equity research walked me out and said I did a really good job. I have already sent thank you emails to everyone I met with. I followed up with HR this morning and was told that they will be making a decision tomorrow. Would it be a good idea to follow up with the analysts I met with to reiterate why I am so interested in the role? I feel like this is the perfect opportunity to emphasize my interest, but I don't want to come off as desperate either. Would appreciate some advice.

I would wait. If you heard from Hr, then you don't want to seem desperate, as that will give the people there free rein to abuse you later on in the internship. If for some reason don't hear back from HR within a week, follow up with them and the analysts.

This is for full time. They said they will be making a decision tomorrow so I wanted to email the analysts tonight. You are right about sounding desperate, but I was going to email them and say ER is what I've been positioning myself for long term. I certainly would make sure it doesn't sound desperate. Still a no go? I don't see how this hurts me if I make sure I don't sound like I'm begging.

If you word it so you don't sound like you are desperate, then I guess it would be ok. Just be super careful in how you word it, because as you know, stuff gets around pretty quick, so word the email as if you were going to send it to everyone there

Wait a week from when you followed up with HR to do so again. I have been in your position and know how frustrating waiting to hear a response can be, but if you follow-up with the analysts there is a very small likelihood it reflects positively on you (given you have already followed up with HR). There could be a multitude of reasons that you have not heard back and it will drive you insane to pinpoint a reason or try to accelerate their process (at least without an offer).

The best advice I can give you going forward is to keep pushing along with application process for other ER roles you have an interest in and stay productive to keep your mind off the company outside of follow-ups.

All very good points. I sent a quick note to the analysts just reiterating my interest, it was only a few sentences. HR said they were finishing interviews and I was one of the first to go. It hasn't even been two weeks yet. I don't plan on following up with them again, I'm just going to let the chips fall where they may at this point.
