Sellside brokers for mid-market PE contacts

Those of you at mid-market PE firms, what are the names of some of the lesser-known boutique banks through which you are able to get dealflow? One example would be 7 Mile Advisors, but would love to get a few more names if any come to mind.

Wouldn't this defeat the purpose of keeping a shortlist of contacts? If I told other IB groups about PE firms that are hungry for deals, I lose any competitive advantage I had.

Good point, but the bankers usually try to run a broad auction in most cases, so there likely isn't much competitive advantage to be had right there. It is also possible to identify which firms to stay close to by looking at their focus and transactions (all publicly available). Reaching out here was a more efficient way to accomplish that.

I have a very legit list, however, I really don't want to give it out. Relationships give you an edge in this business. Sorry bro.

Just look up "boutique investment banks" with the city or state at the end into google. You'll dig up some small guys that way. Only way to really find out exactly what they market though is to call.

Pretty much what I indicated what would happen.

Think about it. Yes, the bankers want more PE firms to market to. As a PE firm, you want there to be less competition. Competition drives up pricing.
