Sending example pitches to funds & recruiters
I've been working in investment research for a few years now and I'm currently looking to switch firms. Given how challenging it can be to stand out in networking and in applications (and even communications with recruiters) would you ever consider including relevant pitches in introduction networking/application emails? I have put together a few pitches (both long and short) arranged into ~10-20 slide decks that I believe showcase the type of analysis I've conducted at my current firm. I've had a few opportunities to put these decks in front of people in the industry and I've only heard good things so far. I'm hoping including pitches would increase my chances at standing out and spark a but more interest in my candidacy.
I'm interested to hear if anyone here has had any success with this approach? I'm also interested in any advice on how best to use a pitch in the networking/interviewing process (ie: attach to networking emails, wait until interviews, etc.)

I never thought I'd say this, but the accounting major did have a point about guys like this posting redundant threads.
I'm simply asking the community if anyone has had success increasing their response rate by sending out pitches as part of their communications... Maybe I'm searching the wrong forum but I wasn't able to pull similar threads through my search.
Absolutely do it. Nothing to lose, and you do stand out.

Not sure about sending it to headhunters but definitely include it in the networking emails. I used to do it a lot back in college and it helped me get a bunch of internships, so I’m sure it helps while networking as an experienced professional too.
Just don’t include 10-20 slide decks. Chances are the person you send it to is busy, so be concise and efficient in summarizing your thesis and work in a 1-2 (maybe 3) pages. I don’t think sending a full blown deck/memo is necessary here. You can send a short deck and if it grabs their attention then have a bigger deck/memo ready to discuss.
I’m only in undergrad but have done what you’re trying and have landed multiple internships and interviews at legitimate funds by doing so. Only thing I’d say is I’ve gotten advice to keep what I’m sending short and to the point, so like 2-3 pages at most per pitch, not a full blown deck.
