Friends I have spoken to recently tell me they have heard of people actually getting a pay bump of 10-20% when moving into Corp Dev and are now netting 250K all-in cash comp (incl bonus) AFTER Tax. Is this possible, what level of seniority would someone have to be?

After tax? There are a lot of variables in comp to arrive at that number in cash (total comp, comp structure, state taxes, geographic location, etc.). I'm not used to hearing people talk in those terms for comp at that level since stock is really where the offers can start to get interesting. The after-tax cash comp (defined as base+bonus) for a VP of Corporate Development at our company could easily clear $250k after tax in cash alone. We have some seasoned Directors as well, not 100% sure that they clear it after-tax in the cash portion of their comp but I could see it happening.
