Senior, looking for feedback (non-tgt)
Hey everyone, I'm currently a senior finance major at a non-target state school, graduating in May with interests in banking. I've been home on winter break and bored out of my freakin mind, so I decided to give my resume a much needed update and was hoping to get whatever feedback I can on it. thanks in advance!

and i'm sure i don't have to say this, but don't feel the need to hold back any punches
Not a bad resume. BB have already finished their hiring for FT. Are you looking to work at boutiques?
actually received an offer from my SA stint that i'm pretty happy with, but may be interested in moving into an IBD role eventually after some experience and/or biz school. thanks for the feedback
i feel bad for you if u named john doe, there are like a million missing persons named that
u aint going nowhere with BO or MO positions. FO is a reach.
his resume is pretty solid
i did apply FO at firms last fall, but it was pretty tough getting interviews since virtually no banks recruit at my school. i did get some IBD interviews though and got an offer put on hold for a few weeks with a top 15 to 20ish bank, and eventually got dinged. i'm really intrigued by banking though, so may pursue it again in the future.
I think you can leave out the computer repair shop and storage warehouse experience, just so that you can make the font bigger and add some white space. Aesthetics is important too. I read a lot of resumes and ones that are hard to read are immediate turn-offs. Moreover, put the University Finance Club experience with your education or under a new heading "leadership experience".
My two cents.
thanks for the advice jnl83, had actually considered doing that. anyone else think that it's more quality over quantity when it comes to the experience section?
Absolutely take this advice. I thought the exact same thing looking at it the first time - it's too dense, and those jobs aren't relevant.
I agree with that comment, that was the first thing that turned me off on your resume. I think definitely get rid of the storage job. At least Warehouse job seemed to teach you leadership/administration skills.
The details of VP in Finance club are especially disappointing. You lead a finance club but all you do is organize meetings and community service? Once again, I suppose this shows a leadership skill but it would be much better to see actual interaction with financial activities (did you do pitches? presentations? models?)
Looks like you have pretty solid experience / academics though. Good work.
